A favorite photo I took of daughter Gigi was an easy choice for trying a different type of portrait quilt. The photo was manipulated using two websites that eventually produced 25 pages chock-full of a total of 16,244 dots that were then hand-traced onto sheets of fabric. It was fun to sew the fabric sheets together and watch the portrait emerge. A simple grid was machine quilted across the surface to best complement the surface design.
