There and Back Again: The Original Abracadabra Quilt

2015. 84" x 84".

A reversible antique quilt photographed in the Feb/March 2015 issue of Quilters Newsletter caught my attention because I couldn't figure out how it was constructed. Luckily, editor Lori Baker patterned her version of it as "Groovy" in the same issue and all was revealed. Blocks were individually constructed lap quilting-style; each was machine pieced (I added my own tweaks to the suggested construction method; these will be published in the Oct/Nov 2015 issue) and machine quilted, then each of the finished-edge blocks were whipped stitched together by hand to complete construction. FUN.
